For optimal oral health, it's generally recommended to visit the dentist every six months for regular check-ups and cleanings. However, the frequency may vary based on individual needs and your dentist's recommendations. Regular visits ensure that any potential issues are detected early, preventing more extensive and costly treatments down the road.

 

Difference Between General and Cosmetic Dentistry

While cosmetic dentistry primarily concentrates on enhancing the appearance of your smile, general dentistry encompasses all aspects of oral and systemic health. While aesthetics certainly matter in general dentistry, our primary emphasis is on keeping our patients optimally healthy both orally and systemically, ensuring a natural and vibrant smile while safeguarding your overall well-being.

 

General Dentist Visit Cost

The cost of a general dental visit can vary depending on several factors, including location, the specific services required, and whether you have dental insurance. At American Family Dentistry, we offer an AFD Plan for $300 a year, which includes two cleanings, exams, X-rays, and an emergency visit. Additionally, members receive in-house pricing on any necessary treatments, providing an affordable option for quality dental care, especially for those without dental insurance coverage. Please note that a deep cleaning for Periodontal Disease is not included and cannot be combined with additional insurance.
